CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green State University's Burke Badenhop (baseball, Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg HS) and University of Toledo's Robin Davidson (soccer, Cincinnati, Ohio/Amelia HS) have been selected to receive the Mid-American Conference Bob James Memorial Scholarship, as voted by faculty Athletics Representatives.
The Bob James Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one male and one female student-athlete who have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 3.5, as well as shown evidence of good character, leadership and citizenship. Student-athletes are nominated during the academic year in which they complete their final season of eligibility. Winners receive a $1,000 post-graduate scholarship. The award is given in honor of Bob James, the MAC's second commissioner who served from 1964-71.
