Falcons Host Dayton Tomorrow Night For Home Opener

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will look to get back on the winning track tomorrow night (Sept. 6) as they host the Dayton Flyers inside Anderson Arena. The Falcons have won 10 straight home openers dating back to 1994.
BGSU is coming off a 1-3 record this past weekend at the UIC Invitational. The Falcons downed the host Flames, but dropped matches to Denver, College of Charleston and James Madison to open the 2005 campaign.
A LOOK AT THE FLYERS
The Dayton Flyers (3-3) have faced two ranked opponents already this season dropping three-game matches to #8 Florida and #15 UC-Santa Barbara last weekend. UD also swept Missouri State in the final contest of the Aquafina Volleyball Invitational.
Faye Barhorst leads the Flyer attack averaging 3.75 kills per game, while hitting .392. She is joined by Robynne Green (3.35) and Amanda Kenny (2.90) to make for a formidable front line for the Flyers.
Defensively UD is led by Adrienne Green who averages 4.44 digs per game, while Barhorst is their top blocker, averaging 1.70 blocks per game.
VAN DE WALLE REACHING MILESTONE
Head coach Denise Van De Walle is two wins shy of 400 for her career. Her overall record now sits at 398-286.
