CLEVELAND, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - Bowling Green State University senior Julie Trundle has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon (Sept. 5). Trundle earns the honor for the first time in her Falcon career.
Trundle, a native of Medina, Ohio (Medina H.S.), was named the Offensive MVP of the La Quinta Inn & Suites Mountain Classic in Flagstaff, Ariz., as the Falcons went 2-0 over the weekend. Trundle figured in the scoring of both match-winning goals.
On Friday (Sept. 2), Trundle scored on a free kick with just over six minutes remaining in the second half, breaking a tie match and giving the Falcons a 2-1 win over host Northern Arizona University. Two days later, Trundle's through-ball found classmate Samantha Meister for the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Boise State University.
