KENT, Ohio - A few quotes from Bowling Green State University women's basketball coach Curt Miller after the Falcons' 61-58 win at Kent State University Saturday afternoon ...
"It was a great college basketball game featuring two good teams that just played their hearts out. Both teams left it all on the floor, and played with a lot of passion and desire."
"We were fortunate to come away with a win in an arena where very few people have won. For us to weather Kent's second-half comeback and get the win, I couldn't be more proud of my team. I am proud of the character of our team to take the comeback by Kent and still be able to step up and make plays when it mattered down the stretch, and come away with as big a road win as we have had since I have been here."

"I love Carin's offensive mentality. She believes every shot is going to go in. ... She has the ability to hit big shots at key times. Today, she hit a huge three-pointer off a broken play at the end of the shot clock. It was reminiscent of her shot late in the (MAC Tournament championship) game in Cleveland last year. She is uncanny in her ability to continually come up with back-breaking 3s."
(On the Falcons' defense)
"We haven't had the greatest year offensively, and we have yet to shoot the ball the way we are capable of shooting. But, we have held 12 of our 14 opponents to less than 60 points, and a 13th, Kentucky, to under 60 points in regulation. We are 12-2, and our defense is what has us at 12-2."
(On Jasmine McCall, who made a pair of free throws with 10.2 seconds left in the game to give BG a three-point lead)
"I thought a big momentum switch in the game came between the 10- and eight-minute marks of the second half. I tried to rest some starters and get to the eight-minute media timeout. We were up by 16 points, and at the foul line, and we missed two foul shots. Instead of being up by 18, we let them make a run. Jazz made a couple mistakes in that stretch; I was frustrated and took her out of the game. To her credit, with Kate (Achter) having fouled out, Jazz made two huge free throws that completely changed the dynamic of Kent's final possession."
