BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University football team improved to 3-1 in Mid-American Conference play and 4-3 overall with a 24-21 win over Eastern Michigan University Saturday afternoon (Oct. 14) at Perry Stadium. A few notes from the game ...
* The Falcons are now 53-22-10 in Homecoming games after Saturday's win ... BGSU has now won six consecutive Homecoming contests at Perry Stadium.
* Senior Terrel White had the first two interceptions of his career ... on his first pick, with just under five minutes remaining in the second quarter, he returned the ball 47 yards to the EMU four-yard line to set up a touchdown run by Freddie Barnes on the next play.
* White's second INT of the day, and of his career, came in the game's final minute to clinch the win ... he picked off EMU's Tyler Jones and returned the ball 17 yards to the Eagles' 25-yard line.
* Just for good measure, White also had his first sack of the season, coming in the third quarter, and also had a quarterback hurry ... as a team, the Falcons had four sacks and six hurries.
* Senior Devon Parks had two sacks in the game, giving him five on the season and 18 in his career ... Parks is the Falcons' active career leader in that category.
* Sophomore Diyral Briggs had the other BGSU sack ... it was his fourth of the year and the ninth of his career.
* Freshman Jerett Sanderson had his third INT of the season ... the pick came after Erique Dozier tackled EMU QB Jones on a trick play, as Jones had caught a pass from Dontayo Gage.
* Freshman Chris Bullock had a game-high 99 yards rushing and a touchdown ... his TD was a 15-yard run that erased a 21-17 EMU lead with 13:13 left in the final quarter ... that score capped a 12-play, 80-yard drive ... the score was Bullock's second rushing TD of the sesaon.
* Barnes' TD was his ninth of hte season, with eight of those coming on the ground.
* In the game, Barnes made his first career start at wide receiver.
* Redshirt freshman DT Brady Minturn and junior WR Matt Emans each made their first start of the season ... that increases to 20 the number of Falcons who have made their first collegiate starts this season.
* Freshmen Roger Williams and Tyrone Pronty each saw their first action of the season.
* Sophomore Anthony Turner hooked up with soph Corey Partridge on a 33-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter ... the pass was Turner's sixth TD toss of the year and the eighth of his career ... for Partridge, the touchdown reception was his second in as many weeks and the third of his Falcon career.
* Freshman kicker Sean Ellis made his fourth field goal of the season, a 23-yard effort with 6.6 seconds left in the first quarter.
* Freshman punter Alonso Rojas averaged 37.4 yard on five kicks ... that included a career-long 62-yarder in the opening quarter. He placed four inside the 20-yard line.
* The Falcons notched their 12th fourth quarter comeback win since the 2001 season and second this season (Buffalo).
* By holding the Eagles to just 82 yards rushing, the Falcons have now won 23 straight games when they have held an opponent under 100 yards rushing in a game.
* Since the 2001 season, BGSU has won 33 straight games when it has allowed 21 points or less
