PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - A few notes from the Bowling Green State University football game at Temple University Saturday afternoon (Oct. 28), as the Owls posted a 28-14 win ...
* The Falcons had 27 first downs to Temple's 12, and BG had a total of 407 yards of offense to the Owls' 256.
* Chris Bullock rushed for a career-high 182 yards on 29 carries, and scored both BGSU touchdowns.
* Freshman WR Tyrone Pronty made his first collegiate start on Saturday. He is the 21st player to make his initial start in the Brown and Orange this season.
* On Temple's opening drive, sophomore Kenny Lewis had an interception of Adam DiMichele. For Lewis, the interception was his third of the season and the fourth of his Falcon career.
* On the very next play, Bullock scored on a 30-yard run. It marked the fifth time this season that BGSU had scored on its first possession of the game.
* Pete Winovich was the Falcons' `Keystone Captain,' as the Pennsylvania native joined the team's four 2006 captains for the coin toss.
* With just over two-and-a-half minutes remaining in the first quarter, Terrel White sacked DiMichele for a seven-yard loss. Just over a minute later, White got to DiMichele behind the line once again, this time for a loss of nine yards. White would wind up with three sacks on the day, giving him four this season and seven in his Falcon career.
* Bullock gained 67 yards on 10 carries in the opening quarter of play. By midway through the second quarter, he had reached the 100-yard mark.
* The Falcons had what may have been the longest non-scoring drive in history, going 94 yards in 16 plays. On the 16th play, however, a Falcon fumble near the goal line went out the back of the end zone, giving Temple the ball on a touchback.
* With 18 seconds left in the first half, John Haneline picked off a DiMichele pass. It was his first interception in 2006 and the second of his career.
* Kenneth Brantley had a career-high six catches for 59 yards. Four of his receptions went for first downs, including a 10-yard catch on a fourth-and-9 play.
* Bullock had 120 yards rushing in the first half alone, setting a career best. His previous top single-game effort was 114 yards in the Falcons' win at Ohio.
* Tyler Sheehan entered the game on the first drive of the second half, and found Brantley for a 15-yard gain on his first throw.
* With 4:38 left in the third quarter, White picked up his third sack of the day, for an 18-yard loss to the Temple one-yard line. The Falcon defense forced Temple to punt, and wound up with good field position for the next drive.
* On that drive, Sheehan found Bullock for an eight-yard pass on fourth-and-seven. Bullock's second effort gave the Falcons a first down at the Temple 16-yard line.
* Bullock capped the drive with a one-yard run for a score with 14:08 left in the fourth quarter. It marked the first two-TD game of his career for Bullock, who had entered the game with two scores on the season.
* Erique Dozier had a fourth-quarter sack on a third-down play, and the Falcons blocked a Temple field-goal attempt on the next play. It was the Falcons' second blocked kick of the season.
* On the very next play, Sheehan found Pronty for a 10-yard gain. It was Pronty's first career reception.
