BGSU Head Coach Scott Paluch
"Us falling behind kind of took us a little bit out of what we wanted
to do. We never really got our mojo down in terms of finishing checks
and creating loose pucks. We were more of a one-man type of gang in
terms of no puck support. We just didn't have that ability to get
much going. And when we did create loose pucks, we just weren't
getting to the puck and they did a much better job of that. Ultimately, they scored on their shots."
How does falling behind 3-0 affect the game?
"There's no question, the goalies have to make more saves. But we
didn't do enough in terms of getting ourselves back, even when we got
down 3-0, we didn't do enough to get ourselves back in terms of what
we wanted to do as a team, forecheck 5 on 5. There wasn't a lot of 5
on 5 play for long stretches, and that hurt."
The power play did show some life
"There was a slight positive in the fact that we did score two
power-play goals and we probably could have had a few more, but we're
still not anywhere near where we need to be on the power play.
That clearly put is in a hole. Our crowd was doing a great job of
trying to get us back in the game, but we couldn't get back in it. We
didn't take advantage of a good crowd."

How does falling behind 3-0 affect the game?
"That really knocked the wind out of our sails. We tried
to regain our composure ... and stop the bleeding and get some
momentum in our favor, but it was hard to do that.
We made steps to get back in the game, but then we'd get knocked back
on our heels again. We'd score again and get some life, and it was a
battle all game to try and stop them from scoring and get some more
goals on our side."
How did you feel the PP was?
We scored two power-play goals and that's a big step from where we
were last week. Our PK needs a little work and there's an easy solution to that, and that's not to take penalties.
