BGSU outrebounded Furman, 37-31. The Falcons also had 14 offensive rebounds and outscored the Paladins 14-2 on second chance opportunities.

The Falcons also outscored the Furman bench, 16-9.

BGSU outshot Furman, 42.0% to 39.6%, but the Paladins made 20 of 25 free throws (80.0%) to the Falcons 15 of 26 (57.7%) from the line.

Senior Martin Samarco had a game-high 27 points and set a new career-high with nine rebounds. He also had two steals.

Sophomore Erik Marschall made his first start of the season and had 14 points, five rebounds and tied his career-high with two assists.

Senior Matt Lefeld had eight points off the bench. He made four of six free throws.

Sophomore Brian Guerin made his first career start and had two points. He also had a career-high six rebounds.

Freshman Marc Larson also made his first career start and had two rebounds and an assist.

Junior Ryne Hamblet had three points, six rebounds and six assists.

Redshirt freshman Lionel Sullivan saw his first action with the Falcons. He had three points and two rebounds in nine minutes.

Sophomore Brian Moten had two points, two rebounds and a career-high two steals in 24 minutes of action.
