BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team (26-6, 13-3 MAC) is currently ranked 33rd in the country according to the CSTV/AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll released on Nov. 20. BGSU received four points in the "others receiving votes" section of the poll.
The Brown and Orange first made an appearance in the poll back on Oct. 9, the Falcons first time since 1991. Bowling Green has climbed as high as 31st in the nation this season.
"This has been a great season," said Head Coach Denise Van De Walle. "Receiving votes in the Top 25 poll for the last seven weeks reflects just how special it has been. I don't want to see it end. It would be the icing on the cake to see our name pop up on the TV this Sunday during the selection show. It's too bad we don't have the NIVC anymore. This team should be playing in the post season some where."
The aforementioned selection show will air on ESPNEWS this Sunday (Nov. 26) some time between 3-3:30 PM. ESPNEWS can be found on Direct TV channel 207 and channel 142 on the Dish Network.
