Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University football coach Gregg Brandon has announced that Zach Charles, a 5-10, 168 lb., wide receiver from Winter Haven, Florida, has signed a national letter of intent to attend BGSU and play for the Falcons next season.
"Zach is a player who has great speed and is a tremendous athlete," said Brandon. "I think this is a good fit for him and we think he has a great chance to compete for playing time right away."
Charles, who will graduate in may from Winter Haven High School, was an All-State performer who played in the Florida/California All-Star game. He caught 26 passes for 550 yards as a senior and 20 passes for 450 yards as a junior.
He also ran track for the Blue Devils and advanced to the regionals in the 100 meter dash and 4 X 100 meter relay.
