Akron, Ohio - The following are post game notes after Akron's 77-62 victory over the Falcons on Tuesday night.
TEAM NOTES
Bowling Green still leads the overall series, 23-14.
Bowling Green led, 8-6, and has now led in every MAC match-up this season.
Ten players scored for the Falcons.
John Floyd and Steven Wright combined for 34 of BG's 62 points.
The Falcons held the MAC's best three-point shooting team to just 18.2 percent (4-22) from beyond the arc.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Junior John Floyd led the Falcons with 19 points and has now scored in double-figures in five games in a row and in seven of his last eight. The point guard scored Bowling Green's first eight points which included two three-pointers. The Toledo native is averaging 14.6 points per game since January 24th. He had three assists and did not turn the ball over.
Senior Steven Wright scored 15 points, all in the second half. Wright played 36 minutes off the bench and has scored in double- figures 11 times. He also had four assists.
Sophomore Perrick Robinson scored for the first time in eight games and hit just his third three-pointer of the year. He finished with five points.
Freshman Darryl Clements logged nine minutes and scored three points. The points are his first against a MAC opponent. The Detroit native also connected on a free throw, the first of his career.
Freshman walk-on Brian Guerin, a native of nearby Hudson, got to the free throw line late in the second half and hit on both attempts, the first of his career. It also the first points of his career against a MAC opponent.
Freshman Dusan Radivojevic remains out for an indefinite period of time with a sprained right knee.
Junior Martin Samarco left the game midway through the second half after being hit in the nose.
