BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University is proud to offer the 2006 edition of Falcon Volleyball Camps. 2006 features the 23rd annual Skill Camp and the 10th annual Team Camp. New this year is the Elite Camp designed for the college-bound athlete. The camps feature intense skill instruction that will prepare students for the fall season.
The 2006 Skills Camp concentrates on individual techniques including: serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking and digging. Time will be devoted to team offense and defense with all campers participating in tournament play.
The 2006 Elite Camp will be offered for players entering their junior and senior year in high school with at least one year of varsity or high-level club experience.
Head Coach Denise Van De Walle and her staff offer a pre-season camp just two weeks before the high school season begins. The camp emphasizes success with the discipline of fundamental training and conditioning. In addition to drills and lectures of the game, campers enrolled in camp will participate in tournament-style matches in Anderson Arena, home of the Falcons, Eppler Complex and in the Perry Field House. All campers receive three outstanding meals daily, a ball and a written evaluation based upon their play in daily drills and match play.
Remember to register early because the camp is sold out every year. To register or questions regarding the camps, contact the BGSU Volleyball office at 419-372-7067.
Team Camp will be held on July 7-9 & July 10-12. The Skills and Elite Camps are scheduled for July 13-16.
