Throwers Solid in Day 1 of Ohio Invitational

ATHENS, Ohio - In day one of the Ohio Invitational, the throwers performed solid in the Falcons only event, the women's hammer throw. The Falcons are in fourth place following today's events.

Sophomore Whitney Hartman was the top finisher for the Falcons. She finished in second place with a throw of 50.06-meters. Behind Hartman was Paris Bussey who finished fifth for the Orange and Brown with a throw of 40.90-meters. The final Falcon to place in the top eight was Lauren Bryant who threw 39.23-meters and finished seventh.

The women's polevault was delayed due to weather and will resume on Saturday.

Day two of the Ohio Invitational begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.
