Falcons Earn Three Victories at Toledo Invite

TOLEDO, Ohio - In their final meet of the season, the Falcons, of head coach Scott Sehmann participated at the Toledo Invitational this Saturday in a final tune up for the MAC Championships next weekend.
With only a handful of Falcons competing in the sprints and throws at the meet this weekend, the Orange and Brown walked away with three individual victories in one of their strongest areas. The throwers have provided much needed depth for most of the season and today was no different. Takara Dunning won the shot put with a throw of 45-11.75. Andi Bunko won the javelin with a toss of 125-02. Whitney Hartman continued her winning ways as she won the weight throw with a toss of 172-05.00.Hartman also finished second in the discus throw with a throw of 152-03.00. She also finished third in the shot put withh a toss of 45-03.75.
In other areas, Kristi Vince finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.80 seconds. She also finished fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.13.
Also in the 200-meter dash, Lacey Cochran finished third for the Falcons with a time of 25.78. Yemoja Marotta finished seventh with a time of 26.55.
The 4x100-,eter redlay of Lyndi Springer, Nicole Standback, Jessica White, and Cochran finished second with a time of 47.31 seconds.
Alsyon Lee finished fourth benhind teammate Bunko with a toss of 116-06.00 in the javelin. Freshman Kylie Korsnack finished sixth with a throw of 108.00. In the discus throw, Lauren Bryant finished eighth with a throw of 130-04.00.
The Falcons head to Toledo to participate in the MAC Championships Thursday through Saturday May 11-13. More information regarding the meet with be posted in the upcoming week.
