Myers Named First Vice President Of National Organization

Cleveland, Ohio - Bowling Green State University Assistant Athletics Director Jane Myers will serve as First Vice President for the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD).
Also elected to serve as officers for the 2006-07 term were: President, Ross Bjork, senior associate athletics director for external relations at the University of California Los Angeles, to serve as president for 2006-07; 2nd Vice President/Secretary Chuck Beddingfield, associate athletics director for development/marketing, The Citadel; and 3rd Vice President/Treasurer, Matt Donovan, associate director of athletics for development and facilities, University of Indianapolis.
New members to the Association's Executive Committee include Whit Babcock, assistant athletics director/executive director of athletics development, West Virginia University; and Tommy Riggs, associate athletics director, Pittsburg State University. They join current Executive Committee members Tim McMurray, associate athletics director - development at Northern Illinois University; Marija Neubauer, associate athletics director/development at the University of Wisconsin; Jim Paquette, associate athletics director for development at Boston College; Chris Wyrick, associate athletics director of development at the University of South Carolina; and Dennis Young, associate athletics director at East Carolina University.
NAADD is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities, enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics, and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of athletic development and fund raising.
Myers was named Assistant Athletic Director in March 1997 and oversees the Falcon Club, which is responsible for raising annual scholarship dollars for the Falcons 18 sport program. Under her direction, the Falcon Club has increased the amount of funds raised and enjoyed tremendous gains in membership. Many projects have flourished under her direction including the Falcon Club Auctions and BiG Event, the Hockey Renovation project. and the Lloyd Challenge for the Sebo Athletic Center.
Myers has been associated with BGSU since 1988 when she began her service in the Office of Admissions where she spent nine years. Myers was no stranger to the Falcon Club, having served as its president in 1994-95 and having twice served terms as vice-president and fund drive chairperson. She has a master's degree from BGSU in guidance and counseling and a bachelor's degree in liberal studies.
Myers has three children, Nicholas, a former letterman for the Falcon golf team and PGA club professional at Inverness, Meredith Moon, who is a teacher and Patrick, an assistant golf professional.
