Hoiles Inducted Into Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green volunteer assistant baseball coach Chris Hoiles was formally inducted into the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame on August 26th. Hoiles, an Elmwood, Ohio native, played catcher in the major leagues for nine seasons (1989-1998).
Hoiles batted.262 with 151 homeruns in his career, including eight grand slams. In a game against Cleveland on August 14, 1998 he wrote in his name in the record books as the only the ninth player to record two grand slams in the same game.
Other accolades include: Orioles' MVP in 1993, ninth all-time for homeruns in club history and 10th all-time in slugging percentage (.467).
