MUNCIE, Ind. - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished 10th among the 18-team field at the Cardinal Classic in Muncie, Indiana, this weekend. The Falcons shot a two-day score of 636. Fellow Mid-American Conference squad, Eastern Michigan, captured the title with a 607.
The Brown and Orange were led by junior Amanda Bader. The Lima, Ohio native shot 155 (76-79) to finish in a tie for 14th. In four rounds this year the junior has three sub-80 rounds (79, 76, 79).
Fellow classmate Jessica McCann continued her strong fall season, finishing in a tie for 17th after carding a 156 (79-77).
Carley Hrusovsky, competing in her first tournament this fall, shot 78-83--161 for a 44th place finish. Also competing for BGSU was Lindsey Jonkhoff (85-80, T-57th) and Kari Liggett (85-82, T-72nd).
As strange as it might sound, the Falcons are scheduled to play in the Taco Bell Golf Invitational in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday. The two-day tournament will conclude Tuesday afternoon.
