Make plans to join us this weekend, as the BGSU Falcon Football team returns home to host the Kent State Golden Flashes in a pivotal Mid-American Conference game on Saturday, September 23rd. It's Family Weekend 2006, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00pm at Doyt Perry Stadium.
Fresh off a key road victory, the Falcons return home at 2-1 on the young season, looking to sieze control of the MAC East Standings. It's Noisemaker Day, presented by Meijer. Fans who purchase any Meijer-brand macaroni or pasta product can bring it to the game for $9 tickets at the gate. That's a savings of nearly 50% OFF each ticket (limit 4 per box)! Once inside the gates, the boxes can be used as noisemakers throughout the game, and then dropped into Meijer collection receptacles at any main exit for delivery to a local food bank.
As part of a cross-promotional effort with BGSU Hockey, the Columbus Blue Jackets' Mascot Stinger will be in attendance prior to kickoff! Stinger is bringing along part of the team's Breakaway Tour, including a slap shot cage for kids, as well as special raffle opportunities for Blue Jackets game tickets and autographed items. Select members of the BGSU Hockey team will also be in attendance for meet-and-greet, autographs, and playing tips.
The display will be located in the Meijer Tailgate Park (adjacent to Doyt Perry Stadium), and will be open from 10am-Kickoff. Complete ticket information for the upcoming 2006-07 BGSU Hockey and Columbus Blue Jackets seasons will also be available.
