BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Some postgame notes from Saturday's Bowling Green-Kent State football game at Perry Stadium ...
* The Falcons lost at home to Kent State for the first time since 1972. BGSU saw a 15-game home winning streak in the series come to an end. Despite the loss, the Falcons still hold a commanding 52-16-6 advantage in the series.
* Freshman Chris Bullock carried the ball 17 times for 99 yards, shattering his career bests in both categories. Bullock entered the day with career totals of six rushes for 22 yards. He had a career-long 16-yard run in the game. Bullock also caught three passes for a total of 24 yards.
* Freshman quarterback Tyler Sheehan made his collegiate debut, playing most of the second half. Sheehan completed eight passes in 14 attempts for 64 yards. Sheehan is the first true freshman to see action at the QB position since Josh Harris in 2000.
* Another freshman, Sean Ellis, kicked a 31-yard field goal midway through the second quarter. The field goal was the third of the season for Ellis, and his first at Perry Stadium.
* Sophomore Nate Waldron had the first two rushes of his career, gaining a total of 18 yards. He had a 14-yarder on his first carry.
* Senior Kenneth Brantley had a career-high 44 yards receiving on three catches.
* Senior Terrel White had 10 tackles to lead the Falcons. Sophomore John Haneline and freshman Tarell Lewis made nine tackles apiece in the game. Senior Brad Williams led the Falcons with two tackles for loss.
* Freshman nose guard D.J. Young became the 15th player this season to start his first career game.
* Starters P.J. Mahone (SS), Anthony Turner (QB), Antonio Smith (CB) and Nick Davis (NG) did not play due to injury.
