PHILADELPHIA - The College Hockey News announced their 2006-07 Preseason All-America Team and junior Jonathan Matsumoto was listed in the "Players To Watch" section. The forward was just one of 10 CCHA players mentioned among the 31 overall selections.
In 72 career games the junior has 80 points (38g, 42a), while finishing first and second on his team in scoring his first two seasons with the Orange & Brown. He also has 22 power-play goals and seven game-winners in his Falcon career.
Since this summer the Orleans, Ont. native has been drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers (3rd rd.), named to the Preseason CCHA Second-Team as well as his most recent award by the College Hockey News.
Matsumoto and the Falcons will have their annual "Falcon Face-off" this Sunday at 3:30 before hosting Windsor on Oct. 5 in an exhibition contest.
