OMAHA, Neb. - "I thought we played an outstanding hockey game, unfortunately they made the play with a minute left. The All-American gets the puck on his forehand and he beats us there. Jimmy Spratt was terrific in goal. We came in here and played a terrific road game. We just came up short."
Even with the one goal, you had a ton of quality scoring chances.
"I thought we had some great chances, especially in the third. The puck was rolling through the crease a few times. We just couldn't get a stick on it. Dupont made saves, Spratt made save, but ultimately they come up one."
Spratt looked very sharp tonight.
"I think it is important in road games for your goalie to come up big. The home team is probably going to come out firing, and they did, and they had their chances, but Jimmy was terrific. He allowed us to get our road game going. We saw that in the second period, where we were able to take over the game a little bit, and a lot of that had to do with Jimmy's play."
