Martin Samarco Named MAC East Player of the Week

Cleveland, Ohio - Bowling Green State University senior guard Martin Samarco was named MAC East Player of the Week after his career-high 43-point performance against Buffalo on Sunday. Samarco hit a game-winning three-pointer with 2.8 seconds left to give BGSU a 74-73 win in in its MAC opener. It is the second time this season and fourth time in his career he has received the honor.

Reitz averaged 22 points and 8.5 rebounds per game on 17-of-20 shooting from the field and 10-of-15 shooting at the free throw line in two games last week. Reitz started the week by going a perfect 7-of-7 from the field on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds in just 13 minutes in a victory over Culver-Stockton.
