Boston Bruins Call Up Jonathan Sigalet

BOSTON, Mass. - Jonathan Sigalet, a former member of the Bowling Green State University hockey team, has been called up by the Boston Bruins, announced on Monday (Jan. 8). Sigalet, who played for BGSU for two seasons (2003-04), recorded 31 points (6g, 25a) in 72 career games for the Orange and Brown.
Sigalet, 20, from Surrey, British Columbia, is in his second season with the Bruins organization after being selected with the club's fourth pick (100 overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Last season Sigalet appeared in 75 games for Providence, tallying nine goals and 27 assists (36 points).
Sigalet has not seen any action in Boston this season, but he has played 35 games for Providence in the 2006-2007 campaign, scoring eight goals and notching eight assists.
Sigalet and the Bruins play Tuesday night versus Ottawa.
