Hockey's Face-off Reception Will Feature Former Falcon-Great Garry Galley

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Former Falcon hockey-great, Garry Galley, will be the featured guest speaker at the Falcon Face-Off Reception, which will be held Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. in the second floor meeting rooms of the Sebo Athletic Center. Tickets for the business casual event cost $45 for adults and $15 for those 15 and younger, as the event will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. where fans will have to opportunity to socialize with the Falcon coaches and players.
Included with a purchased ticket will be one raffle ticket for selected prizes, as well as the opportunity to collect pictures and autographs from those in attendance. Hors'doeuvres will also be served to guests by celebrity waiters, as a raffle and auction will also take place during the event.
After the socializing portion of the event, those in attendance will be introduced to the team and will hear remarks from the Falcon captain's on the upcoming season. Head coach Scott Paluch will then give his remarks on the 2007-08 season, before handing the microphone off to Galley, who will close out the program.
Galley, a 1990 BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, played with the Falcons for three seasons in the early 1980's. After helping win the NCAA Championship in 1984 and being named a NCAA All-American, he was drafted in the fifth-round of the NHL Draft by the Los Angles Kings.
In his 17-year NHL career, Galley played in 1,149 games on six different teams. He tallied 600-career NHL points (125-475--600) and was named to the All-Star squad on two occasions.
In his three-year Falcon career, Galley tallied 35 goals and 117 assists in 126 games. His 152 career points ranked tied for 25th on the all-time BGSU scoring list and is tied for the second-most by a BGSU defenseman, behind only Paluch (48-121--169).
The left-shot defenseman currently resides with his wife and three children in Ontario, as the CEO of his self-made company, 3G Hockey Consulting Inc.
