Hockey's Kantola Suspended By CCHA Over Weekend

(CCHA.com) - The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced this weekend that Bowling Green State University sophomore Kai Kantola has been suspended for three games as the result of a checking-from-behind incident that occured in BG's home opener this past Tuesday (Oct. 23) against Notre Dame.

The supplemental disciplinary action was taken by the CCHA after a review of the incident that occured at 16:13 of the first period and resulted in Kantola receiving a major penalty for Hitting From Behind and a disqualification penalty.

Kantola will miss the Falcons' next weekend against Western Michigan, and the Nov. 9 game against Ferris State.
