Swimming and Diving Announces Fall Recruiting Class

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Head Coach Keri Buff and the swimming and diving Falcons have announced the signing of six National Letter of Intents for the 2008-2009 season. In total, eight student-athletes will complete the newest edition to the team.
"This is the best recruiting class BGSU swimming has ever brought in," Buff said. "These eight girls will come in and make an immediate impact in our conference."
Of the incoming class, seven will join the squad at the beginning of the 2008-09 academic year, while Sarah Burston, a freestyle competitor with specialties in the butterfly and individual medley, will step onto campus in January, 2008.
Headlining the class, is Amanda Rom, a Senior National Qualifier in the breaststroke from Cincinnati, OH. The class also includes a list of accomplished swimmers native to Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Michigan as well as Ohio.
"We couldn't be more excited about our future," said Buff.
The Orange and Brown will jump back into action this weekend as they travel to Columbus to compete in the OSU Invitational. The Invitational is set to begin Friday Nov. 30 at 11:00 am.
