Swimming and Diving Falcons Fall to Ball State

BOWLING GREEN,Ohio - Junior swimmer Alisha Yee swam her way to three first place finishes and fellow junior, diver Ashley Belrose won the 1 meter competition to help pace the Falcons as they were defeated by Ball State, 193-107.
The Orange and Brown started the day strong as they picked up a win in the 200 medley relay as the team of Yee, Meg Richardson, Chelsea Lopus, and Frankie Houck finished in 1:48.80.
Senior Jen Wright then took second place in both the 1000 and 50 free. In addition, the Falcons scored a pair of the third place finishes with Sami Jordan in the 200 free and Richardson in the 100 breaststroke.
Yee then took center stage as she picked up victories in the 100 and 200 back and the 400 IM. This gives Yee a total of 6 individual first place finishes on the year, leading the team.
Senior captain Kim Albin contributed swimming the 200 breaststroke in 2:30.25, placing second. Sophomore Chelsea Lopus also picked up a second place finish in the 100 fly.
Bowling Green will return home for two duel meets next weekend as they welcome MAC foes, Ohio on Nov. 9 and Miami a day later.
