Three Falcons Earn Academic All-District Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University seniors Pete Winovich, Kevin Huelsman and Kory Lichtensteiger were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV team this afternoon. Winovich and Huelsman earned first team honors, while Lichtenstier was named to the second team.
Winovich, a native of Jefferson Hills, Penn., is a vital part of several special team units for the Falcons this season as well as the team's starting fullback. On the year the senior has 10 yards rushing on four carries and eight receptions for 60 yards. He also has one tackle on the year. Winovich carries a 3.40 grade-point average, while majoring in financial economics.
Huelsman, a native of St. Henry, Ohio is a third year starter on the Falcon offensive line. He and his teammates are part of a Falcon offense that averages 414 yards a game, including 300.1 through the air. He carries a 3.81 GPA with a major in management information systems.
Lichtensteiger earns the award for the second consecutive year. He, like Huelsman, mans an offensive line that has helped the Falcon offense to 414 yards a game and 300.1 through the air. The Van Wert, Ohio native carries a 3.57 GPA, while majoring in criminal justice.
