MUNCIE, Ind. (BGSUFalcons.com) - Bowling Green State University women's soccer standout Corbie Yee has been named to the 2007 All-Mid-American Conference Team. Yee, a junior, has been chosen to the second team, it was announced at the MAC Tournament banquet Thursday evening (Nov. 8) in Muncie, Ind.

Additionally, three of Yee's teammates have been named to the MAC's All-Freshman Team for 2007. Redshirt freshman Alexa Arsenault and true freshmen Meagan Moran and Jackie Tamerlano were selected to that squad. The All-MAC and all-freshman teams are the results of voting by the league's 12 head coaches.
Yee, a native of Berea, Ohio (Berea HS), has earned league honors in each of her first three years with the Falcons. The 2005 MAC Freshman of the Year, she was named to the All-MAC Second Team in 2006 as well as in '07. Yee currently has 11 points this season to rank third on the team. She has three goals - all game-winning goals - and a team-leading five assists.
Her three GWG to date all have come in home games, with two coming in overtime. Yee was named the MAC Player of the Week on Oct. 29 after scoring both of the Falcons' goals in 1-0 wins over Ohio (Oct. 26 - OT) and Akron (Oct. 28). Then, in Sunday's (Nov. 4) MAC Tournament quarterfinal match, she notched the overtime winner to give the Falcons a 2-1 triumph and advance the team to the tourney's semifinal round for the fifth time in six seasons.
Yee is the Falcons' active career leader in goals (12), assists (9 - tied for lead) and points (33). She is now tied for seventh place on the BGSU career goals list, and she ranks ninth in total points. Yee's total of seven career GWG ties her for third on that BG list.
Yee is only the third player in school history to be a two-time selection to the All-MAC team. Samantha Meister was named to the first team in both 2003 and 2005, while Beth Wechsler, like Yee, was a two-time second-team choice (1998 and 2000).
Arsenault, a native of Richmond Hill, Ontario (St. Theresa of Lisieux), has played in 12 of BGSU's 20 matches this season, starting 11. She has been the Falcons' starting `keeper in each of the last nine contests, and has a record of 7-3-1, a goals-against average of just 0.82, 54 saves and five shutouts this year to date.
In MAC matches only, Arsenault was 5-3-0 with four shutouts, 36 stops and a GAA of 0.82. She ranked fourth in the league in GAA in conference games, and she was also fourth in saves percentage (.837). Arsenault was third in shutouts per game, with four shutouts in her eight appearances in MAC games.
Moran, who hails from Beavercreek, Ohio (Beavercreek HS), has played in all 20 matches to date, making 15 starts. She is tied for the team scoring lead, with 12 points, and has four goals and four assists to rank second on the Falcons in each category.
Moran's total of eight points in MAC games tied Yee for the team lead. She scored her first collegiate goal at Youngstown State, and also found the back of the net in the Northern Illinois game. In the Toledo game (Nov. 1), Moran struck in dramatic fashion, with two goals in the game's final two minutes to lift the Falcons to a 2-1 road win over the arch-rival Rockets. She has had assists vs. Eastern Illinois, Western Michigan, Kent State and in the MAC Tournament quarterfinal vs. EMU.
Tamerlano, a native of North Royalton, Ohio (North Royalton HS), is fourth on the Falcons in scoring, with nine total points, and is tied with Moran for second on the team in goals. Her four goals include a pair in the Falcons' win over YSU (Sept. 23), and she also scored in home games vs. Wright State and WMU.
Tamerlano's first collegiate assist was a nifty pass to Yee for the game-winner vs. UA. She has played in all 20 games in her first season on campus, making 17 starts.
Toledo's Molly Cornwell was named the MAC's Player of the Year for 2007, while Miami's Sara Lund was chosen the league's freshman of the year. Michelle Salmon of Ball State was selected as the MAC Coach of the Year for the second season in a row.
The Falcons currently have an overall record of 10-9-1, and BGSU finished the MAC portion of the schedule with a 6-5-0 league ledger, good for a fourth-place finish in the regular-season standings. Head coach Andy Richards and the Falcons have won five consecutive games heading into Friday's (Nov. 9) MAC Tournament semifinal match against top-seeded Ball State. Kickoff for that match, the second semifinal of the day, is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the Ball State Soccer Field.
