BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - An official decision on the status of Wednesday's (Feb. 14) women's basketball game between Bowling Green State University and the University of Akron will be made early Wednesday afternoon. A powerful winter storm blanketed Bowling Green and much of the Midwest Tuesday, and the University has been closed for Wednesday.
The status on Wednesday's scheduled game will be made after consultation with University and city officials. The Akron team and staff is already in Bowling Green, having made the trip on Tuesday. The city of Bowling Green began the day under a Level 3 Snow Emergency (all roadways closed to non-emergency personnel), but planned to switch to a Level 2 Snow Emergency at approximately 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.
The game between the Falcons and Zips is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Arena, and once again, a decision on the game's status will be made early Wednesday afternoon.
