"That was a big win for us tonight. I think that noise you are hearing is that monkey landing in a snowbank. We finally got the monkey off our backs here. Eastern is a tremendous team, very physical defensively, and the best thing about our matchups is that both teams learn a lot about themselves by the end of the game. We are a better team now than we were two hours ago, because Eastern really makes you work."
"Tonight, the story is our defense. We did a great job defensively, and disrupted them just enough to enable us to pull ahead and get the victory tonight."
"Inside the arc, we shot 50 percent. Outside the arc, I don't want to talk about. But, certainly, when we did attack, and when we were patient enough to get the ball into high-percentage scoring areas, we were indeed able to score at high percentages. That's the way they were defending us. It was clear that their game plan was going to allow Kate Achter some scoring opportunities for us in our system. Her eyes lit up three minutes into the game when I told her that she had a chance to have a big offensive game tonight."
"The momentum from that last three- or four-minute stretch of the first half was huge. It gave us a little breathing room, and that cushion helped our potential foul trouble to become basically a non-factor. If you go into halftime with a two-point lead and some people in foul trouble, I think we would have had a lot of nervous kids in the lockerroom. But that stretch of the last few minutes was another big story in this game."
"There is not a challenge that this senior class has not been up to throughout their careers. We didn't talk about it, but they knew that we had never won here. We had some really inspired practices leading up to this game, and they wanted this game. They wanted to end their careers knowing that they had won in every single arena in this conference."

"It was a huge boost for us. It gave us a lot of confidence going into halftime. It is hard to go on runs against a team like Eastern; they have a great defensive scheme. We got lucky enough to be able to put some shots in the basket and go into halftime with a double-digit lead."
(On playing close to her hometown of Chelsea, Mich.)
"This is my backyard, and it was the last game of my BG career in Michigan, so it was good to go out with a win. I think half the town of Chelsea was here today."
(On the play of the BG bench with Carin Horne and Liz Honegger in foul trouble)
"Lindsey Goldsberry stepped up big again today. She's in there on the defensive end applying pressure and getting deflections. Tara Breske came in there and had a monster block, and grabbed some rebounds for us. Amber (Flynn) always plays well off the bench, and it's nice to have those players come off the bench and not miss a beat when Carin and Liz sit down."
(Was there any extra motivation to get this win?)
"We just wanted to keep our winning streak alive. This is the last hurrah for the seniors, and we wanted to come up here and leave on a good note."
