RIO VERDE, Ariz. - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team shot a 312 on day one of the Rio Verde Intercollegiate in Rio Verde, Arizona to place them 15th in the 18-team field. Baylor leads the tournament after a 289 on day one.

The 54-hole event began with a bang for the Falcons' lone senior Kari Liggett fired a 73, a spring-best. The 73 places her in eighth after 18 holes of action.

Amanda Bader and Carley Hrusovsky carded 79's and sit in 60th place.

Also competing for the Orange and Brown were Jessica McCann (81, T-79th) and Lindsey Jonkhoff (86, T-99th).

Round two begins Saturday morning.
