Falcon Volleyball Recognition Banquet Set for April 1st

BOWLNG GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will host the 2006 Recognition Banquet on Sunday, April 1, 2006. Socializing will begin at 12:30 PM and dinner follows at 1:00 PM. The event will be held at the Community Room in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
Bowling Green is coming off an '06 campaign which saw them go 26-6 and advance to the Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship. The Brown and Orange posted the second best record in the conference with a 13-3 MAC mark. BGSU also strung together the longest win streak in school history with 17 consecutive wins. The Falcons could also be seen in the national rankings throughout much of the season.
Individually, five players were named to the All-Conference team. Senior Chrissy Gothke, Junior Stephanie Swiger and Sophomore Kendra Halm were all first team members while Junior Madeline Means earned second team honors. Freshman Corey Domek was placed on the all-freshmen squad. The Falcons also had six players earned Academic All-MAC honors.
