BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University volleyball team host their annual spring tournament Saturday, March 31. The Falcons hosted Eastern Michigan, Michigan State, Cleveland State and Findlay.
BGSU went 3-1 match-wise, racking up an 8-2 mark in games won. Bowling Green defeated EMU 2-0, Findlay 3-0, Cleveland State 2-0 before dropping a game-three battle with the Spartans of Michigan State. With the teams splitting the first two contests (25-30, 30-26), the Falcons fell in a 17-19 game-three thriller at Anderson Arena. Meghan Mohr was voted most outstanding player for the weekend by her teammates.
"It was a pretty good day for us," said Head Coach Denise Van De Walle. "I thought we passed the ball really well all day long. We were aggressive at the net with out hitting. Meghan (Mohr) did a great job setting. She looked more natural and confident today. I was really happy with how well she ran the offense ... and she attacked the ball much more often than last weekend in Fort Wayne."
