BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University (13-3, 2-0) will face its first Mid-American Conference road test on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008 as they travel east to Kent State University (4-10, 1-1) in a MAC East match-up ... the contest will be the first of two MAC road tests on the immediate horizon for BGSU ... the 7:00 p.m. tip will take place at the Memorial Athletic & Convocation Center on the campus of Kent State University.

Pass Go To Collect Your 200th Game
In light of stepping on the sidelines of Saturday afternoon's match, head coach Curt Miller appeared for the 200th time with the Orange and Brown and won his 137th game with the program ... Miller is the quickest of his BGSU coaching peers to reach his 200th game ... Jaci Clark reached the milestone in her final game with the Falcons, while Fran Voll's 200th was vs. Ball State in his final MAC road match ... Voll finished his career with 204 game under his coaching belt ... Miller is the only one of the three to win their 200th overall game.
Diaper Dandies Double Date with Destiny
The combined 27 points and 22 rebounds by Crystal Murdaugh (17p-11r) and Lauren Prochaska (10p-11r) was the first freshman double-dip since Ali Mann and Carin Horne turned in the dual points and rebounds in the Mid-American Conference game versus Kent State ... the double-double versus Ohio was Murdaugh's first as a Falcon and Prochaska's second ... with the addition of Murdaugh, six newbies have double-doubled under head coach Curt Miller ... the current freshman class is only the second to have at least one member record a double-double in their rookie season.
New Attendance Set In NCAA Challenge
The Falcon faithful packed into Anderson Arena on Saturday, Jan. 12 to take in a MAC East Division women's basketball showdown between BGSU and Ohio ... 3,010 saw a victory ... the number was a season-high attendance mark, and the sixth largest home crowd in the program's history ... it was also the fourth largest regular season home crowd of all-time, and the largest in over a decade (3,268 saw BGSU defeat rival Toledo 83-69 on March 5, 1994) ... the attendance figure was also the largest in Curt Miller history ... entering the game, according to the record books, BGSU's all-time single-game women's basketball attendance mark was 4,408, set on March 17, 1993 when the Falcons dropped a 69-67 decision to Florida in an NCAA Tournament game ... the regular season single-game mark was 4,013, set on February 19, 1992, an 87-83 OT loss to rival Toledo.
Fabulous Freshmen
With her 18 points in the Mid-American Conference opener vs. Akron and her 10 versus Ohio, freshman Lauren Prochaska has sketched her name into the Falcon freshman record books with her 236 points this season ... the Plain City, Ohio native surpassed former Falcons Carin Horne (220) and Megan Thorburn (212) and is six points out of the top ten on the all-time rookie scoring list ... Prochaska is the leading scorer for the Falcons this season averaging 14.8 points per game, also good enough for the second best rookie effort ... she needs two steals to break into the top ten of the all-time frosh category ... she has snatched 31 thus far ... also, with her nine blocks this season, Crystal Murdaugh has tied herself with one former Falcon on the rookie blocked shot short list and currently sits in the top ten at ninth overall ... with the addition of Prochaska and Murdaugh to the lists, eight of Miller's freshman have made their way to at least one of the all-time rookie lists.
Spreading the Wealth
In the past five wins, BGSU has seen three or more players in double-digit figures ... in fact, three or more Falcons have sunk 10-plus points 11 times this season ... they are 9-2 when accomplishing the feat ... Lauren Prochaska has posted double-digits in a team-high 15 games this season and the Falcons are 12-3 when she does so ... BG is 6-3 when she scores 15 or more ... Kate Achter has appeared on the boxscore with 10 or more 10 times while Lindsey Goldsberry and Tara Breske have done it five and eight times, respectively ... against Hampton each of the four scored between 13-17 points ... each was perfect from the foul line that night account for 17 of the Falcons 21 FT ... Breske, Achter and Prochaska have posted simultaneous 10-plus scoring nights on three occasions ... BGSU is 2-1 in those three games ... two of which, Notre Dame and Akron, took place in Anderson Arena ... the St. Bonaventure win is the only time in which only one Falcon was in the DD figures (Kate Achter, 32) ... Tracy Pontius, Crystal Murdaugh, Jennifer Uhl, Sarah Clapper and Whitney Taylor have also notched a place in the double-digit club on at least one occasion this season.
MAC - Miller's Accomplished Conference
Since becoming a head coach in the Mid-American Conference, Curt Miller has won three regular season titles, three tournament titles and another three C-O-Y awards ... he is 68-30 all-time and has lost just four league games in the past three years ... through those three seasons, beginning with the current seniors' rookie season, he and the Falcons are 55-4 ... in the past 35 regular season MAC contests, the Falcons are 35-34 dating back to a win over then MAC contender, Marshall on Feb. 23, 2005 ... Miller's biggest turn around came in 2003-04 when he took a 5-11 record from the previous season (2002-03) and rearranged it into an 11-5 MAC record ... in the past four seasons he has won 11 or more MAC games ... entering the 2007-08 season, Kent State's Bob Lindsay is the only current league coach to boast a better win percentage (1990-pres.; 219-81) ... Ball State's Tracey Roller, who began her time at BSU in 2001 trailed Miller by a win and a loss (65-31; .677) at the conclusion of the 2006-07 season.

Bowling Green is currently on a six-game win streak over the Golden Flashes dating back to a Jan. 26, 2005 road loss at the hands of KSU ... in their next meeting that year, at the MAC Tournament Championship game, BGSU won its first of three MAC titles ... the Golden Flashes head coach Bob Lindsay is the only MAC coach to boast a better win percentage than the Falcons' leader Curt Miller ... before Miller's first win over KSU on Mar. 12, 2005, the Falcons were 1-17 in there prior 18 contests against the program ... senior Kate Achter averages 10.7 ppg vs. KSU and nearly four (3.857) assists ... she has an 86% accuracy from the free throw line (25-29) and went 11-11 as a freshman ... in her last outing vs. Kent State, junior Lindsey Goldsberry's boxscore read: 12pts., three assists, five steals, five rebounds and a 9-10 effort from the free throw line ... those nine made FT's still stand as her career-high ... no other Falcon has seen significant time vs. the Golden Flashes ... from the "Did You Know" file, Miller spent the 1990-91 season at KSU as an assistant coach.
