Jordan and Yee Record Top Finishes at Akron

AKRON, Ohio - Junior Alisha Yee recorded three individual first-place finishes, and fellow Junior Sami Jordan added a top time as Akron defeated Bowling Green Saturday afternoon in the water.
Yee continued her dominance in the Mid-American Conference, as she swam to first place finishes in the 100 and 200 back events as well as the 200 IM. The junior has won the 200 back event in all five conference meets this season and has taken first in the 100 back and 200 IM in four of the five MAC races. Yee maintains her perfect record in MAC competition.
Along with Yee, Sami Jordan walked away with a victory in the 200 free event. This marks her first individual win of the year as she swam the race in a time of 1:58.71.
BGSU also picked up a victory in the 400 IM relay, as the team of Yee, Meg Richardson, Frankie Houck, and newcomer Sarah Burston finished in a time of 4:00.25.
The best race for the Falcons came in the 200 back event where they logged the top three times. Yee, who won the event, was followed by Jordan and senior Brit O'Connor, respectively.
Additionally, Bowling Green earned five second place times and ten third place nods.
The Falcons will host rival Toledo inside Cooper Pool next Friday, January 25 in the last home meet of the season. The conference event is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
