BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - After picking-up back-to-back road wins, the Bowling Green State University Falcons will return to the friendly confines of Anderson Arena on Tuesday (Jan. 22) to host the RedHawks of Miami University ... BGSU enters the game with a 15-3 overall record, a 4-0 MAC record and seven consecutive wins ... Miami is 10-8 overall, 2-2 in the MAC and will be coming off their second MAC loss ... Miami is the final MAC East foe for the Falcons before they take on Ball State on Saturday to begin their tour of the MAC West ... action will start at 7:00 p.m.

As a result of Toledo's 72-66 triumph over Ball State in Savage Hall on the night of Saturday, Jan. 19, BGSU stands as the lone unbeaten left in the Mid-American Conference ... through three prior divisional games, both BGSU and Ball State had yet to be defeated ... with the victory, Toledo is now 9-7, 2-2 in the MAC ... Ball State falls to 7-10, 3-1 MAC ... Bowling Green holds a conference best overall record of 15-3 and MAC record of 4-0 ... Ball State, the former sole leader of the MAC West now finds themselves tied with a majority of directional Michigan (Eastern and Western) for the top slot in the division.

Of the 12 current MAC head coaches only six, including Curt Miller, have coached in 100 league games ... of those six, Bob Lindsay's 220-84 record in going on 19 seasons with Kent State tops the winning chart with his 72.4 percent winning streak in the conference ... drawing a close second is Miller's 70-30 (.700) winning ways ... Ball State's Tracy Roller, who took over the Cardinals in the same season as Miller with the Falcons, boasts a 68-32 (.680) league record ... following suit are Toledo's Mark Ehlen (137-65; .678; 13th season), Western Michigan's Ron Stewart (105-77; .577; 11th season) and Miami's Maria Fantanarosa (86-74; .538; 10th season).

Statistically speaking Bowling Green ranks in the top three in 12 of 19 categories referenced by the Mid-American Conference weekly release ... in fact, they are the top ranking program in seven areas including scoring offense, scoring margin, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, turnover margin, rebounding defense and assist to turnover ratio ... in MAC only games, Bowling Green is the top program in nine categories: scoring offense, scoring defense, scoring margin, field goal percentage, three-point field goal percentage, rebounding defense, rebounding margin, assists and assist to turnover ratio.

As of the games through Jan. 17, the Falcons are ranked in the top 25 of four team NCAA statistical categories and have two top ten spots on an individual basis ... as a team, BGSU ranks 7th in three-point field goal percentage (39.9), 12th in assist to turnover ratio (1.08), 17th in turnovers/game (14.5) and 25th in field goal percentage (45.4) ... Kate Achter's 6.4 assists per game are the 10th best effort in the country while Lauren Prochaska's 47.4 accuracy from the three-point line in the fifth best total in NCAA DI women's basketball.

Since becoming a head coach in the Mid-American Conference, Curt Miller has won three regular season titles, three tournament titles and another three C-O-Y awards ... he is 70-30 all-time and has lost just four league games in the past three years ... through those three-plus seasons, beginning with the current seniors' rookie season, he and the Falcons are 57-4 ... through that same timeline, only Eastern Michigan (43) and Kent State (40) have won more than 40 league games [including post-season tournament contests] ... Ball State is one win out of the 40 win club at 39 ... BG's 57 wins more than doubles every remaining program in that same period (Western Michigan, 28; Ohio, 28; Toledo, 25; Northern Illinois, 23; Miami, 20; Buffalo, 14; Central Michigan, 14; Akron, 9) ...
in the past 37 regular season MAC contests, the Falcons are 36 -1 dating back to a win over then MAC contender, Marshall on Feb. 23, 2005 ... Miller's biggest turn around came in 2003-04 when he took a 5-11 record from the previous season (2002-03) and rearranged it into an 11-5 MAC record ... in the past four seasons he has won 11 or more MAC games ... entering the 2007-08 season, Lindsay was the only current league coach to boast a better win percentage (1990-pres.; 219-81) ... BGSU vs. Miami Quick Facts
After dropping their first three regular-season games to Miami University, Curt Miller's Falcons found a win in the 2004 MAC Tournament beating the RedHawks by a point, 75-74, to advance to the championship game ... since then Bowling Green has won the last six contests ... in those six wins, Kate Achter has averaged 12.17 ppg and has had just one occasion in which she did not reach double-digit figures ... in her last outing, she nearly double-doubled with her 13 points and eight assists ... vs. Miami, she averages four assists ... Achter is 27 of 32 from the FT line against Miami and did not miss her first FT until her junior year ... prior to that, she was 18-18 over the span of four games (two seasons) ... fellow senior Whitney Taylor dropped 7 pts. in 5:00 as a sophomore vs. Miami ... later that season she recorded another four points in 15-minutes ... she has seen limited action since due to injuries ... though Lindsey Goldsberry has not posted big scoring numbers against the RedHawks, she has been a challenge to the MU offense ... in her last outing, Goldsberry had five steals and four defensive rebounds ... prior to that she had a steal and six defensive boards ...
