Falcon Throwers Place First and Third

OXFORD, Ohio - The 12th Annual Miami Team Challenge kicked off today with the women's hammer throw taking place at George L. Rider Track. The Falcon throwers competed well, taking two out of the five top spots while adding an eighth place finish.
Junior Whitney Hartman led all thowers in the hammer throw with a toss of 55.28 meters while senior teammate Lauren Bryant finished third with her toss of 52.01 meters. Hartman's throw qualified her for the NCAA Regionals which take place in May. TaKarra Dunning added an eighth place finish, while sophomore Stacey Turak finished 23rd. Competition will resume tomorrow with the women's discus. Below is a list of events and times.
