LOS ANGELES - Women's Hoops Falcon Whitney Taylor may be spending her summer 2257 miles away from Anderson Arena at the E! Channel, but the intern is really never more than a click away from the Falcon Faithful.

Last week (May 19-23) was my first full week in California and my first week interning at E!. On Monday, the other interns and I had our first experience at E! for the intern orientation. After the day we felt fully up to date on their software and had our security badges to be able to walk freely throughout the building. We felt official!
I got to know my E! bosses and even got to meet the Vice President of Production who is a BG alumni - Jeff Shore. I work in the "E! Studios and Live Events" department so my cubicle and desk are right next to his office, which is nice. Throughout the week I worked on questions to supply the host with to ask celebrities as they walk down the red carpet for the "Sex and the City" movie premier; researching their role in the movie or their connection to the event was my daily routine. Hopefully I'll hear the host ask a few of my questions when they broadcast this event later this week on the E! channel! I was able to sit in on a few brainstorming meetings with Executive Producers as well where they considered new show ideas and topics.
For the Memorial Day weekend we joined up with fellow BGSU students that now work at E! at their house in Burbank, CA. We had a nice cookout in their backyard and got to know a great group of BG alumni who are now successfully doing what many of us current interns hope to achieve in the future: working (possibly at E!) and surviving in California!
All in all it was a great week and I look forward to many more throughout this summer!
More coming soon!
GO FALCONS!
