BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University head football coach Gregg Brandon has announced that Adam Salon has been named the new Director of Football Operations at BGSU. Salon has already begun his new duties for the University.
Salon, who replaces Dave Ebersbach, will handle various administrative tasks for the program. Salon's duties will include coordinating the team's travel, running the program's summer camps and assisting coaching Doug Phillips with recruiting.
"We are excited about the hiring of Adam Salon as our new director of football operations," said Brandon. "His passion and knowledge of the game will be a great asset to the BGSU football program."
Salon spent the past season as the offensive grad assistant at BGSU. In that year his responsibilities included film breakdown, scouting report preparation and hosting many official visits from potential recruits.
"I'm truly honored to step into this roll and I want to thank Coach Brandon for this tremendous opportunity," said Salon. "I look forward to helping our student-athletes and coaches as we prepare for another successful season."
Prior to his time at BGSU he was an assistant coach at Evanston Township High School where he was the offensive coordinator for the freshman and sophomore team from 2001-2007. He also spent time as the quarterback, wide receiver and defensive backs coach. Between 2003-07 he was also a U.S. Treasury Bond Trader for Goldenberg Hehmeyer.
He was also an assistant football coach at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where he coached defensive backs and linebackers.
Salon, 30, a native of Evanston, Ill., earned his degree in history in 1999 from Wabash College.
