BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University women's swimming and diving head coach Keri Buff has announced the addition of former Falcon David Anderson to her coaching staff. Anderson has already begun his duties at the University.
Anderson, a Bowling Green, Ohio native, joins the Falcons after serving as a volunteer coach with the Bowling Green Swim Club and Bowling Green High School since the summer of 2004.
A former member of the BGSU men's swimming program, Anderson was named the team's Freshman Diver of the Year in 1992-93.
As a high school athlete, Anderson was a four-time district qualifier and two-time state finalist, with a top seven finish at the state meet, for Findlay High School. He was also a member of the All-Ohio Diving Team between 1990-92.
A 1997 graduate of BGSU, Anderson received a Bachelor of Science in Gerontology. He earned a Master's degree from Ohio State University's College of Business in 1998. Since that time, he has spent the past nine years in the corporate arena working as a loan officer.
Buff and the BGSU women's program posted a sixth-place finish at the 2008 Mid-American Conference Championships. The Falcons return eight letterwinners from that squad including a pair of MAC medalists, Alisha Yee and Sami Jordan.
