Bowling Green, Ohio - Jim Elsasser has been promoted as Bowling Green State University's Associate Athletic Director for Internal Affairs, as announced by Director of Athletics Greg Christopher. Elsasser has been the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Affairs for the past 10 years.
"Jim has responded to every challenge put on his plate," Christopher said. "This promotion is recognition of the respect those on campus and within the department have for Jim's work. On a team of great people, Jim is a stand-out. His loyalty and service to BGSU athletics is appreciated."
Elsasser will oversee all business operations for intercollegiate athletics, including finance, event management and facilities. He will also continue to operate as the sport administrator for ice hockey and men's and women's golf.

The Elyria, Ohio native earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Bowling Green in 1991 and his master's degree in sport administration from BGSU in 1993.
"I want to thank Greg Christopher for the expanded role and the confidence he has in my aptitude," Elsasser said. "BGSU athletics is a great working environment and I look forward to the new responsibilities and further contributions to the continued success of the athletic department."
