Day One of MAC Championships Comes to an End

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - By the end of the opening night of the Mid-American Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Championships held at Cooper Pool, the Orange and Brown hold strong in sixth place with 54 points.
Tonight's events, the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay, unleashed the excitement that the MAC Championships will surely bring the swimmers, coaches, family, friends and fans alike. The 200 medley Falcon relay team of Yee, Richardson, Burston and Enright finished in fifth with a time of 1:41.83.
Thirty minutes later, the swimmers were back in the pool ready for the second and final relay race of the night, the 800-yard freestyle relay. The Falcon team of Yee, Yu, Bomicino and Jordan took sixth, finishing behind Miami, Ohio, Toledo, Eastern Michigan and Akron.
At the completion of day one the standings are:

Day two of the MAC Championships pick up tomorrow with preliminaries set to begin at 11 a.m. with finals at 5 p.m. Events will include the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard IM, the 50-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle relay and the one-meter diving competition.
