Svendsen To Play For Idaho

Boise, Idaho - Bowling Green State University forward Brandon Svendsen, who completed his eligibility this season, has signed a contract with Idaho in the East Coast Hockey League and is expected to be in uniform for the Steelheads during a four-game series in Victoria, British Columbia that starts tonight (March 18).

Svendsen had his best season at Bowling Green as a senior establishing career highs for points (30, second on the team), goals (12, tied for second on the team) and assists (18, second on the team). The Minnesota native was also an alternate captain this past season.

He finished his BG career with 76 points (32-44) in 148 career games.

Idaho is in second place in the Western Division of the ECHL with 11 games remaining in the regular season. They have a 36-21-2-2 record heading into their game tonight.
