WFRO-FM 99.1 Named Flagship Station For Bowling Green's Falcon Sports Network

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University announced today that Falcon Sports Properties has reached an agreement with BAS Broadcasting to make WFRO 99.1 FM the flagship station for Bowling Green athletics beginning in the 2009-10 season.
"The Falcon Sports Network has found a tremendous home in BAS Broadcasting and WFRO," Cal Bowers, general manger for Falcon Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports and the multimedia rights holder for BGSU Athletics, said. "We look forward to growing our sports network through them as well as aggressively adding affiliates in and around the state of Ohio."
Under the terms of the five-year agreement, WFRO Eagle 99 will carry all football and men's basketball games, as well as the live Falcons Nest Coaches Show, which airs on Monday nights from Fricker's in Bowling Green. Additionally, all radio broadcasts are available on the web at the official home of Bowling Green athletics, www.bgsufalcons.com.
