Falcons Fifth After Day Two of MAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team scored 17 points on day two of the Mid-American Conference Championships, hosted by the University of Akron. The Falcons' 31 two-day point total trails only Akron (66), Ohio (45), Kent State (42.5) and Buffalo (39).
Four Falcons scored points on day two, most notably in the shot put. Both TaKarra Dunning and Whitney Hartman recorded Regional marks. Dunning finished third with a throw of 50-01.25 (six points), while Hartman was fifth with a toss of 49.75 (four points).
The Orange and Brown scored another four points in the long jump with the help of Brittani McNeal, who finished fifth with a jump of 18-11.25.
The final Falcon to score on Friday was senior Jamie Roflow, who finished sixth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:08.32.
The third and final day of the MAC Championships will take place on Saturday.
