The Falcons split a pair of games at Cochrane Field ... THE STREAK IS OVER; LONG LIVE THE STREAK
Friday's loss to St. Bonaventure ended the Falcons' home unbeaten streak at a school-record 11 matches ... BG had been 10-0-1 at Cochrane Field since the prior home loss, which had come to Michigan State in last season's home opener (Aug. 31, 2008) ... the Falcons got back to winning ways with Sunday's 2-0 victory against Youngstown State.
HOME-PITCH ADVANTAGE
Despite the loss to SBU, the Falcons have been very successful at home in recent years ... after Sunday's win over Youngstown State, the current fourth-year Falcons have a record of 23-11-1 in their careers to date at Cochrane Field ... Richards has guided the Falcons to an overall record of 97-87-19 ... BGSU is 10-5-5 in MAC Tournament matches during his tenure, and no MAC coach has as many trips to the league tourney's title game as Richards ... the 2007 season marked the fifth time he had guided a BG squad to the championship match ... two of those appearances – in 2004 and 2005 – resulted in MAC Tournament titles and trips to the NCAA Championships ... Richards and the Falcons also won the '05 regular-season crown ... BGSU reached an agreement with Richards on a two-year contract extension, in May of 2008 ... his contract now runs through June 30, 2011 ... Richards had inked a three-year contract in February of 2006, marking the first time in school history that a soccer coach had received a multi-year contract.

A FEW MORE FALCON NOTES
• Freshman Keely Chandler's brace vs. Youngstown State marked the first two-goal game by a BGSU player this season ... in fact, the Falcons had not had a player score multiple goals in a match since Nov. 1, 2007 ... on that date, Meagan Moran scored a pair of late goals to give the Brown and Orange a 2-1 win at Toledo.
• The last two-goal game by a BG player at Cochrane Field had come on Sept. 30, 2007, as Danielle Cygan scored twice in a 3-1 win over Western Michigan.
• Redshirt junior Alexa Arsenault made the 200th save of her career in Sunday's win over YSU ... she is just the third BGSU goalkeeper to reach that plateau, joining Erika Flanders (473 saves) and Ali Shingler (334).
• Junior Alicia Almond's assist on Chandler's first-half goal vs. YSU was the first of her BGSU career ... Almond now has five career points, having scored a goal in each of her first two seasons with the Brown and Orange.
• Junior Katie Stephenson assisted on that same goal ... Stephenson's assist was her first of the season and the sixth of her career.
• Sophomores Megan Amann and Leah Johnson assisted on Chandler's second goal of the day ... for Amann, the assist was her second of the season and the 10th of her career ... Amann is the Falcons' active career leader in assists.
• Johnson's assist was her team-leading third of the season and the fourth of her Falcon career.
• BGSU now leads Youngstown State, 5-0-0, in the all-time series between the teams ... each of the Falcons' last three wins in the series have been shutouts ... overall, BG has outscored the Penguins, 23-3, in the five games.
