Falcons To Compete In Youngstown State Invitational On Monday

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team continues early play in the 2009-10 season tomorrow, as they travel to Columbiana, Ohio to participate in the Youngstown State University Invitational.
This one-day, 36-hole tournament will be played at The Links at Firestone Farms, which is a par-72 course ranging in distance from 5,056 to 7,207 yards, depending on which tees are used.
The Falcons opened the season last weekend in a rain-shortened Great Smokies Intercollegiate. Bowling Green tied for 15th place over the 18 holes that were played. Freshman Susannah Grunden carded the low individual score for the team with a two-over-par 74 in her first college tournament. That was good for a 25th-place tie.
Lauren Glew (77) also finished in the top 50, while Megan Gormley (79) was one of six players to score an eagle during the tournament's only round.
Senior Hannah Lambert (81) and junior Marisa Glew (82) also saw action in the season's first tournament.
