THIS WEEK IN FALCON HOCKEY ...
Bowling Green (3-3-0) is bringing out the winter gear early as they prepare to embark on their longest (mileage) roadtrip of the season this weekend. The team heads to Fairbanks, Alaska to play the Alaska Nanooks for their second conference series of the season. Fresh off a sweep of Alabama-Huntsville, the Falcons look to continue their current three-game winning streak outside of the continental United States.

LAST TIME OUT ...
The Falcons come off of their first sweep since 2008 with a pair of wins against Alabama-Huntsville. BGSU made a thriller out of Friday's game after taking a 3-1 lead after the first period by allowing the Chargers back into the game and taking the decision into overtime before Ryan Peltoma (Brainerd, Minn.) hit the game winner 31 ticks into the extra frame. Saturday's game was an even match through two periods as the teams took a 1-1 tie into the third period, but Bowling Green exploded for three goals in the final 20 minutes to create space and end with a 4-2 victory over UAH.
Mike Fink (Minnetonka, Minn.) and Ryan Viselli (Windsor, Ontario) both made their debuts as Falcons and put their name in the scoring column. Fink finished the weekend with a pair of goals and an assist while Viselli also recorded a helper. The freshman and sophomore classes came to play, accounting for six of their nine goals and 13 of the team's 16 assists on the weekend. Andrew Hammond (Surrey, British Columbia) earned his second win of the year in his second start with 23 saves on 25 shots against. The Falcons have strung together three straight wins, the most since 2007 when the team had a five-game winning streak.
