November 02, 2010 | Baseball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The three-time defending Mid-American Conference Eastern Division Champion Bowling Green State University baseball team is inviting interested participants to take part in the program's 2011 Winter Prospect Camp.
Registration forms (5 pages, .pdf)
The camp will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the BGSU Perry Field House (Bowling Green, Ohio). Those athletes from ages 14 to 18 are invited to attend.
The BGSU baseball coaching staff, including 2009 MAC Coach of the Year Danny Schmitz, and current players will engage participants in a variety of drills that will help develop hitting, pitching, catching to infield and outfield skills.
Cost for this year's camp is $90 per player. The early registration deadline for the camp is set for January 10. All registrations postmarked after the deadline will be priced at $100 per player.
The annual Winter Prospect Camp not only helps hone the skills of those in attendance but also has proved to be a fine way for players to debut their talents to play collegiately. Fifteen current members of the 2011 BGSU baseball team are former winter prospect camp participants.
